By the time you leave the hospital, most patients feel much better—typically around a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. The use of minimally invasive techniques, where possible, also helps make your recovery smoother. You can expect to rest at home and gradually return to normal activities within a few weeks, but remember that it can take time to see the final results.
